arehe March 8, 2015 Tanzania will join the member countries of the United Nations celebrates International Women's Day. For this year, we celebrate this glorious day at the national level where the Morogoro region will be invited to this celebration. Other regions will have an opportunity to prepare for this celebration in their areas to focus on their surroundings.
This anniversary provides an opportunity for national, regional, district and other stakeholders to measure progress made in women to development removable noting challenges in empowering women and strategies to deal with these challenges.
Anniversary of 2015 is unique due to the presence of important events that they will touch all aspects of women's rights and gender equality. These events are: Election of the President, MPs and councilors; evaluation of the successful implementation of the Beijing Declaration Platform for years 20 (1995 - 2015); evaluation of the Millennium Development Goals (2005-2015) and the direction of the Agenda 2063; about having 'South needed' by the year 2063.
Following this important Ministry has prepared a National Conference to be held March 6, 2015 and exhibits various activities to coincide with the awards to those who contributed to the empowerment of women in the country.
The theme of the celebration of International Women's Day 2015 is: "Empowerment of Women; Run Time is Now '. This theme aims to encourage communities to recognize the contribution of women in their development; and educate stakeholders to review their obligation to share it, to trust and to give women equal rights in educational opportunities, economic and leadership so that they can act as a catalyst in their development.
I call upon the citizens in all regions to participate fully this rare honor outstanding day. It is my hope that through this celebration of all stakeholders and the government will be reminded of their responsibility and role in carrying out the message of the slogan and identify strategies to deal with the challenges of the participation of women in development.
